Captured Moments: A Collection of Stunning designs by Homestead Design Co.

Old Charm, New Construction

This project is my pride and joy. While it was new construction, it was on a very tight budget. Most pieces are second hand or refurbished, and we included many antique pieces and finishes to infuse character. Semi custom cabinetry, solid marble backsplash, and many other finishes emphasize the charm in this home. From studs to sofas, Homesteads touch was in every phase. Space planning and cabinet layouts, material selections and furnishings, this project has it all.

Project Willow

Project Willow is a new construction build I took on in Summer of 2020 and finished in Winter of 2021. I was hired to make all of the interior and exterior material selections as well as furnish and stage the house. Lexar Homes contracted the home. This project was my first solo new construction build through Homestead Design Co. Even though it was brand new, it came with the challenge of incorporating existing furniture from the owners. Spaces highlighted in this project were the office, kitchen, and later on the living room. I did everything from the wallpaper installation, to refurbishing furniture, to producing commissioned paintings for the living room. This project was a labor of love and it's so rewarding to drive by everyday on my way to work!

    Serene Retreat

This luxury bedroom's inspiration stemmed from a stunning and fresh hotel in Central  Washington. Mixing light and warm tones and textures, with masculine touches created the ultimate master suite for this couple. Stay tuned for updates!

    Country Gathering

This living space was designed to serve a large, active, local family. With midcentury influence on the structural layout of the space, the goal was to bring in a traditional yet casual family room feel with modern accents. The selections were made to highlight this family's lifestyle and interests. This project successfully catered to this family's lifestyle with custom performance fabric upholstery. Stay tuned for installation pictures!

    Modern Living

This living space was designed to add a moody personality to this new home. We started with a white sofa and a lamp, and ended up pairing it with a beautiful collection of furniture, along with the homeowner's eclectic art collection. What is a home if it doesn't feel like you? Stay tuned for updates!

    Alaskan Guest Room

This guest space was so much fun to create given the background of the client. This client has a expansive background spending time on the Alaskan waters. It only made sense to reflect that in the furniture selections.

Mood Boards & Pallets Over The Years

This is a combination of random pallets I created out of inspiration, and mood boards for events and to be displayed inside Nest Design Studio. I try to challenge myself to create different styles. You'll see everything from coastal, cotemporary,  french country, western, to transitional. Some of these are just laid out on a table, and others are complete mood boards. You'll see how my taste and eye has developed over the years as you scroll through them all!

      Cooking in Lisbon

Cooking in Lisbon was my final project I did at the end of my freshman year in my design class. We were given a blank floorplan of a studio apartment along with a questionnaire to fill out. In that, we created our own portfolio for our client, and then designed the entire apartment top to bottom for their needs and the location. My location was Lisbon, Portugal- based on the Azulejo pattern research I did.

My client was a middle aged bachelor, with a culinary profession. My design goals were focused on keeping it true to the Mediterranean style with a complementary scheme to keep it masculine. There was also a heavy focus on keeping the layout very traditional to stay true to the region, while providing plenty of entertaining space and emphasizing the kitchen.  There is so much attention to detail in this space and this project was a great opportunity to enhance my artistic skills.

        Rendering Project

This project is based on an image I selected from a selection my professor gave us. We were supposed to use different rendering types to render this space. Here I used a variety of marker, pen, and graphite.
